Day 77
This workout DVD was interesting to configure and the workout pretty interesting. Basically the DVD contains over 100 one minute exercise segments broken down into groups: upper body, lower body, abs, total body. You can choose which body area you want to work out and then which level [1 or 2] and finally for how long – 6 different time blocks from between 7 and 42 minutes. Or you can pick segments in short blasts for when you need to squeeze in some quick workouts. There is also a stretch segment.
With so much to choose from you could, theoretically, never do the exact same workout twice. I chose the upper body for a 21 minute workout and I did repeat an exercise once, and then I did alternatives to other exercises already done – for example I did bent over deltoid raises with both arms and then later I did them with alternating arms.
Netflix writes:
This comprehensive workout regimen hosted by exercise guru Minna Lessig packs more than 125 one-minute exercises into a fitness system of almost endless versatility. Based on answers to three questions, the program chooses the appropriate exercises from its database and arranges them into a circuit-training sequence that fits your specific needs. You could exercise virtually every day for the rest of your life and never do the same routine twice!
Minna is very competent and cues well. I have never seen her on TV or any other media, so I thought I would give her DVD a try. As I was pleased with the workout I got I think I will look into more of her DVDs.
Yesterday I had blasted my legs with Karen Voight so today I needed to work my upper body. Doing the 20 minute Turbo Jam workout to get my cardio in, I then got to work with my hand weights. It all made for a good session.
Here are my stats:
