Day 83

I feel like I fell off the weightloss wagon over the weekend! I didn’t seem to get any hard exercise in, just walking each night after sitting at my PC for several hours each day – I could almost feel my butt spreading out as I sat on my chair! I absolutely hated it but couldn’t seem to even eek out 5 minutes for some quick squats or lunges – or even a slighty longer time and my beloved Turbo Jam 20 minute workout.

I remedied that today – I did the 20 minutes for cardio and then pulled out Minna Lessig’s DVD again. This time I did total body workouts at Level 2. They are four minute segments and I did 5 of them. A few of the exercises were repeated but overall it was a good workout: functional training moves for most of them, compound exercises through various planes of motion. It was good to do the squats with a pull to reach, lunges with bicep curl to over head press, and more.

I liked the fact that the segments were short.  It seemed to break things up nicely and I could easily  make myself do  ‘just another quick segment.’

I then followed up the total body work with a brief four minute ab section and then Minna’s cool down. After I turned off my heart rate monitor I spent about ten minutes stretching and relaxing.
